What a beautiful day today was. The temperature was about 70 degrees and the sun was out. We almost forgot what the sun looks like. Sarah's soccer game was at noon and Elizabeth's was at 1:30 pm at different fields but thankfully close enough to drive to. Elizabeth and Sarah each played great. Both their teams won and the teamwork, passing and foot skills and ball control were amazing. They have been practicing hard and it showed.
Before diner Janika took them to the Ferris High School tennis court with her friend Mariah and showed the girls how to play tennis. I think Janika and Mariah ended up chasing a lot of balls because Elizabeth and Sarah have never played before but they had a great time. Elizabeth would like to take it up as a sport. Hopefully soon she'll be able to see one of Janika's games on a Tuesday or Thursday. Speaking of games, Janika played a great game on Thursday and her Ferris won their match.
Today was the closing day for the Bloomsday registration. Reed, Elizabeth, Janika and I are signed up to run Bloomsday on May 3rd.. It is such a great road race and a good distance (7.46 miles) it doesn't matter if you walk or run. Everyone has a great time. Sarah, Sam and Elizabeth will be running in the smaller Junior Bloomsday on April 25th.
